Quill And Ink

My teachers at school told me that I was a good writer.
I paid little heed.
It just had to be done
So I did it without thought.

When I entered the world of nursing
There was a lot of writing involved.
It was under a different format
But I adapted.

Now that I am free of nursing
I am also free of their writing constraints.
I can write whatever I want
Whenever I want.

I like to write of nature and behavioral psychology.
I do not write of politics or religion.
They hold no interest to me
And I know little about them.

I do not write of violence
Nor do I advocate it.
This is why I rarely watch the television.
My imagination keeps me company.
